Get some apps that will help you make the most of your new phone. There are tons of great productivity, organization, and entertainment apps out there that can help you get the most out of your new phone. 3. Take advantage of your phone's camera. With today's technology, you can take some amazing pictures and videos with your new phone.

4. Stay connected with friends and family. Your new phone can help you stay connected with loved ones no matter where they are in the world. 5. Keep your new phone charged. Make sure to keep an extra charger handy so you're never without power.

6. Lock your screen when not in use. It's easy to forget to lock your screen while using a phone, but this can be dangerous if someone picks up or steals your phone while it's unlocked.

7. Store important data on a cloud-based service or app instead of on the device itself. While it may seem convenient to store photos, contacts, messages, etc., on the device itself, doing so means all that information is only accessible by using that device; if something happens to it (e.g., theft), then you lose everything!

 8. Don't spend too much time checking social media updates or surfing websites while looking at the screen too long - use breaks from these activities and look away from the screen for a few minutes every hour or two!

Beauty Tips

The Best Beauty Tips for Achieving Glowing, Healthy Skin

Looking beautiful is no easy feat, especially if you’re not sure where to start when it comes to your complexion. However, you can easily achieve healthy, glowing skin by avoiding these common mistakes that we all make from time to time. From the products you use on your face to the way you treat your body, these beauty tips will give you the tools you need to achieve that naturally radiant look that you’ve always wanted. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!

Moisturize Every Morning

Moisturizing your skin every morning is key to achieving and maintaining healthy, glowing skin. For best results, use a moisturizer that contains SPF to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Apply your moisturizer in circular motions, starting at your forehead and working your way down to your neck and décolletage. Be sure to pay extra attention to dry areas like your nose and chin. Allow the moisturizer to absorb into your skin for a few minutes before applying makeup or sunscreen. And if you want even more hydration, pair your moisturizer with an oil-based serum or balm.

Cleanse Your Face Everyday

Cleansing your face every day is the most important step in your skincare routine. It removes dirt, oil, and makeup that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Choose a gentle cleanser that suits your skin type and use it twice a day—in the morning and at night. Pat dry with a towel afterward to remove any excess moisture from the surface of your skin. You should also look for products that contain natural ingredients like aloe vera, green tea extract, or other herbs because they’re gentler on sensitive skin types than synthetic ingredients like parabens or sodium lauryl sulfate. Moisturize Your Face Every Day: The best way to combat wrinkles is by keeping your skin hydrated. Use moisturizer during the day and before bedtime (but not too close to bedtime) so that your skin cells are nourished throughout the night as you sleep. Try a water-based moisturizer if you have oily skin, an oil-based moisturizer if you have dry skin, or an SPF moisturizer if you're going outdoors.

Protect Your Skin From UV Rays

One of the best ways to protect your skin is to keep it shielded from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. These rays can damage your skin in a number of ways, including causing premature aging and increasing your risk for skin cancer. Wearing sunscreen is one of the best ways to protect your skin from UV damage. Look for a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher that provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Apply sunscreen generously to all exposed areas of skin, including your face, neck, décolletage, and hands. Reapply every two hours, or more often if you’re swimming or sweating. If possible, try to find a water-resistant sunscreen so you don't have to worry about reapplying after coming out of the water. The most important thing is not letting too much time pass between applications; if you wait too long, then your sunscreen will wear off and leave your skin unprotected again.

Use the Right Products

One of the best ways to achieve healthy and glowing skin is to use the right products. This means finding products that work well with your specific skin type and concerns. For example, if you have dry skin, look for products that are hydrating and won’t strip away natural oils. If you're acne-prone, find products that will combat breakouts without causing more. There are even masks designed specifically for oily skin! Of course, everyone's skin is different so it's important to explore a variety of brands and types before committing.

Know When to Visit a Dermatologist

Everyone’s skin is different, so it’s important to know when to seek professional help. If you’re noticing changes in your skin that are worrying you, or if over-the-counter treatments aren’t working, it may be time to see a dermatologist. A board-certified dermatologist can help you figure out what’s going on with your skin and develop a treatment plan. What's more, a dermatologist can also perform procedures like chemical peels and laser resurfacing that will leave your skin looking its best.

Eat Healthily

Eating a healthy diet is one of the best things you can do for your skin. Make sure to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in your diet. These foods are packed with nutrients that can help keep your skin looking its best. And if you're like me and find it hard to get all the vitamins and minerals you need from food alone, make sure to take a daily multivitamin as well. Exfoliate: There's nothing better than peeling off dead skin cells! I know this sounds gross but just think about how smooth your skin will feel afterwards! You can exfoliate by using some sugar mixed with lemon juice or by applying moisturizer over dry skin before showering.

Fruits For Health

10 Fruits That Are Good For Your Health

Many people do not realize that fruit plays an important role in their overall health and well-being. While you may think of fruit as high in sugar, one of the good things about fruits is that they also contain fiber, vitamins, and minerals. In this article, we are going to be talking about ten of the most beneficial fruits for your health and how you can incorporate them into your diet on a regular basis. Let’s get started!

1) Avocado

Avocados are a great source of healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins. They can help you lose weight, lower your cholesterol, and reduce your risk of heart disease. Plus, they're delicious! Try adding avocado to your next salad or sandwich. You'll love the creamy texture it adds. It's also really easy to make an avocado smoothie: just toss some ice in a blender with some milk or yogurt, banana, berries, honey (or sweetener), and some mashed up avocados for added creaminess. The options are endless with this versatile fruit!

2) Blueberries

Blueberries are one of the most popular fruits in the world and for good reason. They’re not only delicious, but they’re also packed with nutrients that can benefit your health. Here are seven ways that blueberries can improve your health. 1) Blueberries are rich in antioxidants which help protect cells from damage by harmful free radicals. 2) These berries may reduce the risk of heart disease because they have a higher level of folate than other types of fruit. 3) Eating blueberries may help prevent cancer due to their high levels of vitamin C and anthocyanins, which may also help lower blood pressure. 4) As a natural source of fiber, these berries may help prevent constipation by aiding digestion. 5) According to some studies, eating blueberries could decrease inflammation and oxidative stress on nerve cells which could potentially lead to improved cognitive function over time.

3) Raspberries

Raspberries are not only delicious, but they're also packed with nutrients that can help improve your health. Just one cup of raspberries contains 8 grams of fiber, which is good for digestion and can help lower cholesterol levels. Raspberries are also a good source of vitamin C, manganese, and copper. All of these nutrients work together to boost immunity, fight inflammation, and protect against free radical damage.

4) Strawberries

Strawberries are not only delicious, but they’re also packed with nutrients that can help improve your health. They’re a good source of fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins C and K. Fiber helps keep you regular, antioxidants protect your cells from damage, and vitamins C and K are important for bone and blood health. Strawberries also contain ellagitannins, which may help lower inflammation and cholesterol levels. And while many people believe they’re bad for you because they have seeds, the seeds actually offer additional nutritional benefits.

In addition to their high nutritional value, strawberries make an excellent snack food because they don't spoil quickly like other fruits do. So whether you need to pack them for lunch or want to take them on a hike or bike ride, it's always better to eat the freshest possible fruit!

5) Pomegranate

are not only delicious, but they're also good for you. Pomegranates are a good source of fiber, vitamins C and K, and folate. They also contain antioxidants that can help protect your cells from damage. Eat pomegranates fresh, or add them to salads, smoothies, or yogurt. -Cranberries: Cranberries are rich in antioxidants called proanthocyanidins, which have been shown to be helpful in protecting the body against free radicals. These berries also provide support for urinary tract health. -Black Currants: Black currants have strong anti-inflammatory properties and research suggests that black currants may have antioxidant benefits as well. -Strawberries: Strawberries have an important role in eye health due to their high concentration of vitamin C. The fruit is also loaded with other nutrients such as vitamin E, manganese, copper, and potassium which promote overall wellness. Berries like strawberries can help lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease by improving cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

6) Kiwi

Kiwi is a great source of Vitamin C, which is important for boosting the immune system. Kiwi is also rich in antioxidants, which can help protect against cancer and heart disease. Additionally, kiwi aids in digestion and can help regulate blood sugar levels. Eaten fresh, kiwi is a delicious and healthy snack option.

Grapes are a type of fruit that grow in clusters on a vine. They can be eaten fresh, made into wine, or dried to make raisins. Grapes are a good source of vitamins A, C, and B6, as well as minerals like potassium and manganese. Eating grapes has been linked with several health benefits, including improved heart health, weight loss, and reduced inflammation.

8) Watermelon

Watermelon is not only a delicious summer fruit, but it's also good for your health. Watermelon is a great source of vitamins A, B6, and C, as well as lycopene - an antioxidant that can help protect your cells from damage. Watermelon is also low in calories and high in water content, making it a great choice if you're looking to lose weight or stay hydrated. Here are ten reasons why watermelon is good for your health

9) Papaya

Papaya is a tropical fruit that is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. These nutrients make papaya an excellent choice for maintaining good health. The vitamin C in papaya can help boost the immune system, while the fiber content can help promote digestive health. Papaya is also a good source of potassium, which is important for maintaining healthy blood pressure levels. Additionally, the beta-carotene in papaya can help protect against certain types of cancer. There are many other fruits with these same properties, but papaya is one of the best choices to incorporate into your diet.

10) Banana

Bananas are a good source of dietary potassium, vitamin C, dietary fiber and vitamin B6. They can also help you regulate blood sugar levels. Babar Azam and Pakistani Cricket: A Success Story

Babar Azam and Pakistani Cricket: A Success Story

For years, there was little to no international cricket played in Pakistan due to security concerns. But things are slowly returning to normal now, and the country that gave us legendary cricketers like Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram is starting to show its prowess on the pitch once again. This time, however, the star isn’t an all-rounder or batsman; instead, it’s a young wicketkeeper named Babar Azam who has just broken Saeed Anwar’s record to become the highest run scorer in his first year of international cricket.

What Makes Them Successful?

Pakistan has always been a cricket-obsessed nation. When it comes to creating successful cricketers, however, Pakistan’s record has been a mixed bag. Some of its top players are infamous for flunking out of school or taking years to transition from domestic success to international fame. Yet, on other occasions, Pakistan produces some high-quality cricketers who don’t hit their stride until they’re in their 20s or 30s; cricketers like Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq found success much later in life than many of their counterparts but went on to become two of Pakistan’s best captains over that time period. What makes these players different? What can we learn about how to develop young cricketers? How do you know when your child is ready for professional coaching? These questions and more will be answered as we take a look at Babar Azam and Pakistani cricket.

How Babar Got Started

Babar’s family moved to Quetta, Pakistan from Afghanistan when he was three years old. His father and mother worked as laborers at a marble mine, barely making enough money to support their four children. Babar practiced with a tennis ball against a brick wall in his backyard for hours each day, honing his batting skills in an effort to become one of Quetta’s top players. In 2002, just three years after moving to Pakistan, Babar was selected for his district team—he went on to score 32 runs off 30 balls in his debut match. Not long after that, he made history by becoming Pakistan’s youngest cricketer ever when he debuted at 15 years old (the previous record-holder was also from Quetta).

How Many Records Did He Break?

Babar became the fastest man to score 1000 runs in ODI history (17 innings). He scored his 1,000th run off South Africa’s Imran Tahir in second ODI. Before Babar, it took Sachin Tendulkar 28 innings to score 1000 runs while Sourav Ganguly took 34 innings. Pakistan did not have any player who could match these records after Inzamam-ul-Haq retired. But now Pakistan has a new star which is on its way to break more records by becoming one of best players in world cricket. His performance in recent series against Sri Lanka was remarkable. Babar made two centuries, three half centuries and two fifties in five matches he played against Sri Lanka at home. It was truly an amazing feat from a 22-year old lad from Karachi. He also set another record for scoring most number of runs against Sri Lanka with 924 runs at an average of 55.50.

Inzamam made 846 runs at 40 during his career whereas Yousuf Youhana had 699 runs at 35 during his career as openers for Pakistan in ODIs.

Why Does This Mean So Much to Pakistan?

Pakistan has long prided itself on its cricket. However, after being banned from international play due to a match-fixing scandal in 2010, there was concern that Pakistan would lose some of its national identity. This potential loss became even more of a reality as their promising star player, Shahid Afridi, retired from cricket in 2010. Babar Azam is widely considered by experts to be one of the best players to ever come out of Pakistan—so much so that many are calling him The Future in reference to Afridi's previous title.

With great expectations riding on his shoulders, he delivered a performance beyond anyone's wildest dreams at his first appearance for Pakistan against India; he smashed 183 runs off 147 balls with six incredible sixes. His record breaking innings helped lead Pakistan to victory over India, which had previously never lost to them in T20 matches. He then went on to break numerous records and cemented himself as a major force in world cricket. In 2017 alone, he scored 1,788 runs (the most by any batsman) and took 21 wickets (the most by any bowler). Although it may be too early to tell if Babar will have such an impact on Pakistani culture like Afridi did before him, but it seems likely that fans will continue cheering for The Prince well into his career.

Is There More To Do?

Often, it’s been said that there is more to life than cricket. However, for Pakistan, Babar Azam and Pakistani cricket, it doesn’t seem like that’s true; there really is more to do. The young batsman rose through Pakistan's domestic circuit quickly, earning a call-up to their Test side in 2017. Since then he has gone on to become one of their most successful batters. But how did he get here? What are his personal achievements? What drives him now? These are all questions we will attempt to answer in today's post. Let’s get started...

Prior to joining Pakistan’s national team, many eyebrows were raised at Babar Azam being included in recent squads given his relative inexperience. However, those concerns proved irrelevant as early as his second match when Babar hit a century against Sri Lanka. His third Test match was similar as he claimed two centuries against Australia at Adelaide Oval. In these three matches alone he managed 519 runs - an incredible feat considering they were only three Tests! He became only just 22 years old at time too - making him not only one of Pakistan's but also world cricket's youngest centurions ever!

What The Future Holds For Him

I see a very bright future for Babar in Pakistan’s ODI and Test lineup. With his ability to score quickly on demand, I am sure he will be making an impact with both bat and ball consistently at all levels of international cricket. He is also capable of captaining Pakistan after Misbah-ul-Haq retires at least in ODIs. All things considered, it is clear that Babar has what it takes to become one of world cricket’s most feared batsmen. And as a fan, I certainly cannot wait to watch him take on world class bowlers in Test matches! The years ahead promise to be exciting ones for Babar and his fans!

My Health Maintenance Routine

 My Health Maintenance Routine

I’m not going to sugarcoat it, I’m not in my 20s anymore, and that means my body isn’t what it used to be. I’ve developed some bad habits along the way (you could say I put on some bad weight over the years), and my body feels pretty tired sometimes as a result of them. That said, I still feel young at heart, so with that in mind I want to share with you how I maintain my health and keep myself looking young so that I can keep doing all the things I love to do!

Workout at least 3 times a week

You don’t have to work out to stay healthy. But if you want to look and feel your best, exercise is an important part of maintaining a good physical well-being. Exercise not only helps regulate your weight, but it also improves your heart health and reduces stress, two factors that improve overall wellness. For example, 30 minutes of aerobic exercise (at a moderate intensity) at least three times per week can reduce symptoms associated with anxiety by more than 30%.

By reducing anxiety and depression, exercise can help make us happier and more productive at work. It can also improve our sleep quality, control our weight and boost self-esteem. With all these benefits of exercise in mind, how could you possibly not workout? After all, we need exercise as much as we need food. There are plenty of free or low-cost ways to get active, including taking public transportation instead of driving or going for a walk during lunch break or before bedtime.

In addition to walking, there are plenty of exercises you can do at home such as pushups and squats. So get moving! And don't forget about diet—what you eat plays just as big a role in your general health as how much activity you get each day. Make sure you're eating a balanced diet rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables. These foods provide nutrients that support your immune system and keep you feeling full longer.

Don't forget to drink plenty of water too; dehydration causes fatigue and poor concentration. The recommended amount of water intake varies depending on age, gender, body size and activity level; however, eight 8-ounce glasses per day is a good place to start. Keep in mind that sugary drinks like soda count toward your daily fluid intake so try to avoid them when possible.

No refined sugar

I try to avoid eating foods with refined sugar. However, I know how hard it is to control my cravings for sweets; that’s why I always have a stash of dark chocolate and healthy snacks on hand. My favorite is watermelon! It’s nutritious and delicious, so I never feel deprived when I want a sweet treat. This helps me stay on track while I work towards my goals!

A lot of people like myself are more likely to overindulge in candy if it is within arm's reach, which is exactly why I keep all junk food out of my house altogether. Instead, every time I get hungry at home (which isn't often since watermelon makes an excellent snack), I eat something from one of these three places:

Cupboards filled with different nuts and seeds in individual containers or single-serving bags; the fridge stocked with boiled eggs and fresh veggies (cooked ahead for lunch); or a cupboard full of healthy cereals that are low in sugar but high in nutrition value. For example, oats are great because they provide slow-burning energy as well as being rich in fibre. They also keep me full longer than sugary breakfast cereals do! I also try to avoid eating too much meat, so I make sure that when I do have meat it’s leaner cuts.

Chicken breast without skin is always good, but when you want a meal with some extra protein, opt for fish instead of red meat. Salmon has omega 3 fatty acids which help your heart health and can help prevent cancer too!

Finally, don’t forget about exercise! Even just 10 minutes of walking each day can make a huge difference on your overall health. You don’t need any fancy equipment either – just lace up your sneakers and head outside! The nice thing about walking is that you can do it almost anywhere – even while talking on your cell phone or listening to music. It doesn’t have to be boring if you think of it as an opportunity for some fresh air and quiet time alone with your thoughts. It also helps relieve stress, which has been linked to many serious diseases like cancer.

I hope these tips help other people who are trying to maintain their own health too! I know how hard it can be when everyone around you seems so busy all the time, but remember: taking care of yourself is an important part of being able to take care of others too.

No alcohol

If you're looking to stay healthy and trim, consuming too much alcohol is one of your greatest enemies. It's not just excess calories—which can add up, especially if you have more than one drink a day—but also all those extra sugars that contribute to weight gain. Be wary of any mixed drinks, which can be loaded with sugary syrups and other additives that add empty calories.

In addition to keeping my body slim, being teetotal also keeps me energized for long workouts (no dragging in gym class!) as well as stress-free so I can focus on taking care of myself from head to toe. You should always consult your doctor before making any changes to your diet or lifestyle. But if it seems like alcohol isn't doing anything positive for you healthwise, why not consider cutting it out? Your body will thank you!

On days when I do drink, I make sure to stick to beer, which contains less sugar and fewer calories than most other alcoholic beverages (stick to no more than two beers per sitting). While red wine has been praised for its cardiovascular benefits due to antioxidants called flavonoids, studies show there are even greater benefits from eating grapes instead of drinking them.

According to research published in Circulation Journal —the American Heart Association’s official journal—eating three servings of grapes per week may reduce coronary heart disease risk by lowering blood pressure. What’s more: since grape skins are where many flavonoids are located, these skin-on varieties contain twice as many antioxidant polyphenols as white grape juice. And remember, not all alcohol is bad! Just watch your portions and opt for low-calorie options like beer over cocktails or glass of red wine over a full bottle.

Fruits & veggies: Another great way to stay healthy is to load up on fruits and vegetables each day. Not only will you feel better about yourself if you eat well but it also helps your body fight off free radicals that can cause cancer and other diseases. Plus, you'll help lower your risk of developing chronic conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure if you fill up on produce first thing in the morning!

I try to eat at least eight servings a day—and it's not just because I'm obsessed with my health; it's also because they're delicious!

Know your macros

To help reduce your body fat, you’ll want to develop a basic understanding of macronutrients—the categories of food that provide calories. While there is no one-size-fits-all approach, it’s important to know how many grams of carbs, protein and fat you should be eating in a day. If you have been working with a coach or nutritionist to reach your goals and are unsure how many grams of each nutrient you should be eating each day, ask them.

It can be scary if you don’t know what macros look like for someone at your weight and level of activity, but it will also help keep you accountable! For example, I am 165 pounds and 5'4 tall. My daily macros include: 40g carbs (50%), 120g protein (30%) and 35g fat (20%). Knowing these numbers helps me ensure I am getting enough energy from my diet to support my training demands while still losing body fat. This allows me to make adjustments as needed throughout my day.

If I feel tired after lunch, I might increase my carb intake slightly or add an extra serving of veggies on top of what's already on my plate. This is called flexible dieting and can be beneficial for both performance and physique athletes looking to lose body fat without sacrificing muscle mass. To learn more about how to calculate your own macros, check out Fitplanner . The site has lots of great tools and calculators to help you create an individualized plan based off your personal fitness goals. Or check out some of our other articles on calorie counting and tracking !

Although supplements aren't necessary for everyone, they can play a role in helping some people reach their health and fitness goals faster than they would otherwise.

Meditate daily

I’ve only recently begun meditating, but I already love it. It forces me to stop multitasking and focus on my breathing, which helps center me in ways I didn’t know possible. My first attempts were awkward and uncomfortable; I felt like a kindergartner sitting still at circle time. But, eventually, those feelings subsided. The more I meditated, and found ways to make it a regular part of my day-to-day routine, the more relaxed and open I felt—and that had an impact on other areas of my life.

Meditation also improves your focus—it helps clear your mind of distractions while increasing your ability to concentrate on what’s happening in front of you. And if you don’t have 15 minutes to spare every morning, there are plenty of apps out there (like Headspace) that can help you get started. In fact, why not give it a try right now? Set a timer for 10 minutes and see how you feel after. Better yet: do it twice daily!

Sleep 8 hours

Studies have shown that eight hours of sleep a night is optimal for most people; however, it can vary depending on a number of factors. Do your best to get at least eight hours each night, and aim for seven if you can't make it to eight. If you're still having trouble sleeping after trying everything under the sun—or if you just don't need as much sleep as other people—talk to your doctor about what he or she thinks would be best for you.

Some people require more sleep than others and some insomniacs simply must find other ways to get their zzz's in. Always keep safety in mind when making these decisions, though! You'll also want to think about your work schedule. If you work shifts, talk with your employer about setting up a consistent schedule so that you aren't burning yourself out with too many long nights of working.

Most employers are understanding and willing to accommodate such requests, especially if they know they'll help keep an employee healthy and happy (and thus efficient). Make sure any changes are discussed before hand so there are no surprises down the road. Remember: You may be able to fit an extra shift into your schedule once in awhile, but never sacrifice health for extra money (unless it's a one-time thing like helping out during an emergency).

Eat as many raw vegetables as possible

We’re talking about things like cucumbers, carrots, leafy greens and more. Raw vegetables are a great source of fiber, vitamins and minerals that are important for your overall health. A good rule of thumb is to eat at least 1 cup (raw) of vegetables per day. If you feel your stomach getting full too quickly when you eat raw veggies, try blending them in a smoothie to help break them down.

Also keep in mind that steaming or sautéing vegetables can help unlock valuable nutrients that may be lost by cooking. You should also consider taking a vitamin supplement if you don’t get enough from food alone. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water—at least 8 glasses per day—to flush out toxins.

Drinking water will also fill you up faster so you eat less food throughout the day. And stay away from high-sugar drinks like soda and juice, which contribute to weight gain and have little nutritional value. Instead, opt for healthy drinks such as unsweetened tea or sparkling water with lemon. Your body will thank you!

Blood Sugar Levels Naturally

Three Quick and Easy Ways to Lower Your Blood Sugar Levels Naturally

Healthline readers like you wanted to know what they could do to lower their blood sugar levels naturally, so we researched the topic and talked to experts to find the best ways. Here’s what we found: three quick and easy ways to lower your blood sugar levels naturally—with diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes.

Eat Glycemic Index (GI) foods

The glycemic index (GI) is a measure of how much a food affects your blood sugar levels. Foods with a high GI rating cause your blood sugar to rise quickly, while foods with a low GI rating have little effect on your blood sugar levels. Foods that are considered low-glycemic include: whole grains, legumes, seeds, fruits, and vegetables.

To lower blood sugar levels naturally, stick to these foods during meals instead of consuming sugary or starchy snacks or drinks. Also, remember to eat more frequently throughout the day as opposed to eating three large meals. Consuming smaller portions every few hours will help keep your blood sugar levels steady throughout the day. In addition, eating protein at each meal can also help control your blood sugar levels by slowing down digestion.

You can also consume supplements such as chromium picolinate, which has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity in people with type 2 diabetes. Finally, try adding cinnamon to your diet—the spice has been shown to reduce glucose absorption in animals and may work similarly in humans. One study found that participants who consumed 1.5 grams of cinnamon per day had reduced fasting glucose levels compared to those who did not consume any cinnamon.

Eat When You Are Hungry

If you’re hungry, eat! The key here is simply to eat real food. Avoid foods that are processed or refined and empty of nutrients. Focus on eating fresh, whole foods like vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, beans, lean meats (organic whenever possible), or other animal-based proteins. These types of foods provide vitamins (like C) and minerals (like calcium), which support bone health.

You’ll also want to make sure you’re getting enough protein—but be careful not to overdo it as too much protein can sometimes be bad for bone health! Aim for 10–35% of your total calories from protein. Read more about healthy sources of protein here . Remember: Focusing on nutrient-rich foods is a great way to naturally lower blood sugar levels and reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes.

While there’s no substitute for a healthy diet when it comes to lowering blood sugar levels, there are some supplements that may help, including magnesium , cinnamon , fish oil , and chromium . Check with your doctor before adding any supplements into your diet thoughthough! Most importantly, if you have high blood sugar levels, make sure to talk with your doctor about what steps you can take together to manage them.

Managing high blood sugar levels is an important step in preventing complications associated with diabetes. More information on how to prevent type 2 diabetes can be found here . Cut Down on Sugars

In addition to being extra calories, sugary foods give your body a quick, but short-lived energy burst that raises blood sugar levels and then causes them to crash. Not only is consuming lots of added sugars bad for your health in general—excess calories from any source will put you at risk for weight gain—it’s also a common cause of type 2 diabetes, especially when it’s accompanied by high blood pressure or obesity.

To naturally lower your blood sugar levels (and keep them low), monitor how much sugar you eat and try not to consume it in liquid form (juices, sodas). Replace high-sugar foods with healthier options like fruits or vegetables. If you have prediabetes, aim to reduce your daily intake of sugar to 25 grams per day or less. If you have type 2 diabetes, try to cut back on added sugars as much as possible and focus on eating more whole grains instead.

Some research suggests that regularly including cinnamon in your diet may help improve glucose control. And be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day, which can help stabilize insulin levels and boost metabolism. Avoid sweetened beverages such as juices, soda, and iced tea. Sugary drinks are one of the biggest sources of excess calories in many people's diets—up to 450 calories a day for some people! They're also linked to increased risks for obesity and type 2 diabetes. When choosing beverages, opt for unsweetened coffee or tea; fat-free milk; nonfat yogurt; small amounts of 100% fruit juice; and club soda mixed with fresh fruit spritzers made from unsweetened 100% juices.

Exercise

Most adults should aim for 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity per week. Moderate aerobic activity, which is equivalent to a brisk walk, can lower blood sugar levels, reduce body fat and improve overall fitness. Vigorous aerobic activity boosts metabolism by burning extra calories in addition to lowering blood sugar levels.

People with type 2 diabetes may be more likely to benefit from vigorous exercise than those without diabetes. These people should talk with their doctor before exercising. If you have any other health conditions, it’s also important to check with your doctor before starting an exercise program. Even if you don’t have any health issues, however, it’s still wise to speak with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine.

That way, he or she can recommend safe exercises that are best suited for your specific situation. In general, people who participate in regular physical activity tend to live longer and healthier lives compared to those who are sedentary. Exercise has also been shown to reduce stress levels as well as depression symptoms.

Drink Water

Staying hydrated is an important aspect of preventing blood sugar spikes, but it’s a simple mistake that most people make. Drinking too much can cause you to become bloated and constipated, which is definitely something you want to avoid when trying to lower your blood sugar levels. Dehydration can also impair cognitive function, so keep some water around if you’re looking for ways to lower your blood sugar naturally.

It’s always a good idea to drink 6-8 glasses of water per day. Keep in mind that certain foods like fruit juice, sodas, and alcohol contain high amounts of natural sugars; it’s smart not get dehydrated from consuming these liquids on top of regular water intake! You should also be aware that caffeine tends to cause dehydration, so be sure to monitor how much coffee or tea you consume throughout the day.

If you need help getting started with your new healthy habits, ask your doctor about recommended vitamins or dietary supplements. What Makes A Good Title? So how do you go about crafting a great title? Here are just a few pointers to consider: Use action verbs. Words like discovered, revealed, explained, and found out are all solid options that imply that something was done. This makes them great action verbs to use in titles because they imply action rather than simply being descriptive.

Reducing Stress

If you’re stressed, your body pumps out extra cortisol, which drives up blood sugar. You can bring your stress levels down by using relaxation techniques such as mindfulness meditation or yoga. A few minutes of practice a day will make a big difference. A helpful tool is an app called Calm, which offers short guided meditations that allow you to focus on your breathing and nothing else.

Like anything new, meditating takes some practice before it becomes easy—but once it does, you’ll be able to quickly reduce stress whenever it crops up (and just like that you’ll have more energy for workouts). Here are a few additional tips from Prevention's book Eat Clean Diet Recharged! Use your non-dominant hand when doing daily tasks.

This helps put you in a state of flow, so you don't think about what you're doing while also reducing anxiety. Take deep breaths while walking between meetings at work; do not use elevators or escalators if possible; take advantage of nature by going outside during breaks; walk around instead of sitting all day at work. Also, standing desks may help with reducing diabetes risk factors in those who sit all day at work. Try adding these changes into your routine for several weeks and see how they impact how much time and effort you spend worrying about things throughout each day.

Reduce Foods That Cause Inflammation

Research suggests that your blood sugar levels are often caused by inflammation. This is because many food items we consume on a daily basis can cause an inflammatory response in our bodies, which then results in our blood sugar levels rising as a result. These inflammatory foods include things like refined carbs, artificial sweeteners, fried foods, excess dairy products, etc. To help lower inflammation, focus on including natural anti-inflammatory foods into your diet such as those found in dark green leafy vegetables (like spinach) and berries (like blueberries).

In addition to lowering inflammation, they also offer plenty of other health benefits. Dark chocolate is another great option if you're craving something sweet. It's high in antioxidants and has been shown to improve heart health. Just make sure it's at least 70 percent cocoa for maximum benefit. Also, try to avoid sugary treats or overly processed snacks with ingredients you can't pronounce. You'll be surprised how much better you feel when eating healthier! A healthy diet will go a long way toward improving your energy level and keeping your blood sugar levels under control. By adding these changes to your routine, you should notice an improvement within a few weeks. If not, consider talking to a doctor about possible medications or supplements that could help reduce inflammation and thus lower blood sugar levels naturally.

Change Your Lifestyle Habits

There are many lifestyle habits that have a direct effect on your blood sugar levels. The most obvious is diet—but exercise, sleep, stress management, smoking, and alcohol consumption also play a role. It’s important to keep track of these things if you want to lower your blood sugar. This is especially true for people with diabetes.

In fact, doctors often recommend patientspatients with type 2 diabetes make daily logs about their activity levels in order to better understand how these factors affect their blood sugar over time. On average, most adults should aim for at least 150 minutes of exercise each week. And keep track of when you eat—the number one risk factor for type 2 diabetes is being overweight or obese (about 40 percent of U.S. adults fit into both categories). If you’re concerned about your weight, use our BMI calculator to find out if you need to lose weight.Love it? Pin it!

Eating plenty of fiber-rich foods can also help lower your blood sugar levels naturally. Fiber slows down digestion and helps control hunger pangs so that you can feel full longer. Studies show eating 25 grams of fiber per day reduces hemoglobin A1c levels by an average 0.2 points, which shows improved glucose control even after just two weeks. Most high-fiber foods come from plant sources—like fruits, vegetables, whole grains like oats and barley and beans—and they all provide different types of dietary fiber, so try to incorporate as many as possible into your daily diet plan.

How to make money on Facebook

How to make money on Facebook - The Social Network's Best Kept Secret

If you've ever been on Facebook and wondered how people are making money off of it, then this article is just for you. This article will give you the inside scoop on how to make money on Facebook, one of the Internet's most popular social networking sites. Here are some of the best ways to do so

Post Engaging Content

Posting engaging content, such as video and images, will earn you more interaction with your fans. However, posting high-quality photos of your product or service is essential in increasing engagement. You can use sites like Unsplash to find free images that are licensed for commercial use. Engaging with your audience is another great way to increase interaction; responding quickly is a surefire way to gain trust and boost engagement rates. And don't forget about your cover photo! It’s often overlooked, but it’s one of the first things people see when they visit your page. Make sure it accurately represents your brand.

Share Content From Other Pages

Just like with Google, it’s smart to share content from other pages and blogs. In fact, in my experience, sharing other people’s stuff is a little easier than using your own content. Why? Because you don’t have to do any extra work! If you find something interesting or valuable that someone else has created, just click share and add a comment about why you think others will enjoy it too. This will help you build credibility as well as generate traffic back to your page. Plus, if that person ever sees one of their posts shared by you (and especially if they see it multiple times), they might be more inclined to share one of yours! Now that’s networking! Write a professional blog post based off the following description: How to become a better writer: A step-by-step guide.

The first step towards becoming a better writer is understanding what writing is all about. Writing requires an active imagination and strong language skills, both of which are necessary for creating stories or informative texts. But what exactly does writing involve? What steps must you take before starting to write? Here are some guidelines for developing your skills as a writer:

What should I write about? One of the biggest questions most writers ask themselves is what should I write about? And although there are no right answers here, here are some ideas: Write articles that describe how to perform tasks. Do you know how to create amazing dishes at home without spending much money?

Get And Stay Active On Groups

P icking up a hobby or two is an easy way to stay active and meet new people. If you’re looking for ways to make money, it’s a good idea to join groups that are related to your hobbies. For example, if you like writing, you could join a group of writers who are trying to get published. You can also use these groups as a source of inspiration and motivation when you feel stuck with your own projects. Even if they don’t lead directly to paid work, they can be a great place for networking and finding friends who share your interests. Don’t be afraid to start your own group! A simple Google search will turn up several options. And if you already have a network of contacts, why not leverage them? Start a group with all of your contacts so that everyone can benefit from everyone else.

At times some users are selling items in their local areas and create separate groups just for these types of posts; at other times they simply post within one particular Facebook Group which may include individuals selling locally and those buying locally.

Create An Online Community

As social networks like Facebook and Twitter continue to grow, it becomes increasingly important for companies and brands to connect with their consumers online. You can try your hand at something new by building a niche community or even a full-blown social network of your own.

Sites like MySpace have taught us that connecting with users online can yield big rewards in advertising revenue, but you need to be savvy when it comes how you plan and execute your strategy. Building an active user base will only benefit you if they are engaged enough to turn into paying customers down the road. A great way to build a community is through providing value to others through video creation.

When you create videos about things people care about, share them across your social media channels and embed them on your website or blogs (and yes, there is such thing as search engine optimized video). If you’re willing to invest some time into creating content around popular topics, chances are good that other people will do so as well.

This means more eyeballs seeing your videos which could translate into increased sales for you over time. Just remember: If you want to make money from your videos then avoid including too many affiliate links within them—as much as it may seem tempting!

Invite New Friends To Join Your Page(s)

You can invite your friends to like your page and they will be able to see all of your posts in their newsfeed. If you have a lot of friends, chances are that some of them will also like your page. This is a great way to get new likes quickly, and it is free! Just go into your timeline and select Invite Friends To Like This Page. It’s that easy! Be sure to remind them about it when you post something new or exciting, because if they don't see it then they won't know about it.

When someone invites you to like their page, take a minute to do so. When you're starting out with no fans at all, even one person liking your page will help boost your visibility with other potential fans who aren't yet following you. It's always nice to return the favor as well by inviting them back when they do create a fanpage for themselves. They'll appreciate it! This tactic alone will bring many people to your page(s) every day.

In addition, I would recommend posting interesting things (if possible). Make sure you put pictures on there too because pictures really do bring people in. Posting pictures does not cost anything either, but makes a big difference overall. Post things such as contests and things like that; keep everyone interested in what you're doing and how you can better your business online with social media sites such as Facebook.

Partner With A Good Cause Or Charity

Because companies like Dove and Oxfam International have done such a good job with social media advertising, it’s time for you to get in on that action. You can even donate part of your earnings back to causes you believe in. That’s where digital marketing comes into play.

This is basically an umbrella term for every promotion method that exists online. Google Ads and Bing Ads are just two of many examples of digital marketing, but there are also less conventional ones like text message advertising, which has been gaining popularity in recent years. Direct-texting has a high conversion rate because people find text messages more convenient than clicking links or opening e-mails when they’re on their phones or bored at work.

It’s also a great way to start building your contact list if you don’t already have one. Just be sure not to spam your contacts or else customers will quickly lose interest. It pays off to be creative and think outside of the box! For example, once I was promoting my personal training business by creating fitness challenges with different gyms around town. I partnered up with each gym so that they would promote my challenge and I would share theirs as well (we were both getting free promotion).

At first, it was difficult to convince them to work together since most gyms aren’t willing to put their name behind other businesses unless there’s some sort of monetary gain involved. However, after explaining how beneficial it would be for everyone involved (i.e., free exposure), we eventually came to an agreement and our challenge took off from there! Ultimately though, choosing a charity should come down to whatever resonates most with you personally.

Use Like Swagbucks To Earn Gift Cards

Swagbucks allows you to earn points for doing a variety of things online, including watching videos, taking surveys, shopping online and searching. You can then redeem those points for gift cards to major retailers including Amazon and Starbucks. Perk is another website that lets you earn points for watching videos, taking surveys or shopping online.

Once you reach 1,000 points, you can redeem them for $10 cash via PayPal, $25 in PayPerks or get $25 worth of merchandise from DailyPerks. Whether it’s through Swagbucks or Perk Points, you can use these sites to earn gift cards quickly through regular everyday activities. For example, if you typically spend $5 a day at Starbucks, over time you could amass enough points to pay for your daily caffeine fix without having to dip into your pocketbook at all. Just be sure to sign up for both programs so you don't miss out on earning free stuff.

How to Write an SEO Friendly Article in 10 Easy Steps

How to Write an SEO Friendly Article in 10 Easy Steps

You’ve been tasked with writing an article. Naturally, you begin by researching your topic in order to present relevant information and bolster your credibility as an expert in the field. But there’s one more important step that you might not be thinking about: The way you write can have a huge impact on how well your article ranks in search results, and as such, whether or not people read it and share it with their friends and colleagues. Here are ten steps to consider that will help you write an SEO friendly article so your piece has the best chance at being seen and shared by as many people as possible.

Step 1) Do your keyword research

Before you start writing, it’s a good idea to research keywords for your topic. This will give you a sense of what people are searching for and ensure that you keep your target audience at the forefront of your mind. For example, if you’re planning on writing about entrepreneurship (as opposed to entrepreneurship training or entrepreneur workshops), then make sure that entrepreneurship is included somewhere in your title and content.

Other words like business, startup, or small business are also great keyword fodder. Keywords aren't a one-size-fits-all deal; take some time to tailor them to each individual piece so you can better rank higher on search engines. As always, do be wary of overstuffing your titles with too many keywords—you want to be found, not banned from Google. Use tools like Google AdWords Keyword Planner and Moz's free Open Site Explorer to do your research before you write. If you're looking for more information on how to write an SEO friendly post, check out our guide here.

What Is Your Goal? Why Are You Writing? These might seem like basic questions, but taking a few minutes to figure out why you're putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) is important. Do you want people to sign up for your newsletter? Do you want them to buy something?

Are you trying to increase brand awareness? Your goal should dictate how much effort goes into each part of your process—from how long it takes you brainstorm ideas all the way through publication. The easier it is for readers to act on your content, the more likely they'll actually do so! What type of person reads blogs/articles about [topic]?

Step 2) Create Headlines

The headline is arguably one of your most important features, so it’s worth some time putting into. Using action verbs is a simple yet effective way to write compelling headlines. For example, instead of writing Basic Care for Your Pet Cat, you could write something like 10 Best Tips for Training Your Cat.

These tips are useful and actionable—even if your readers may not be cat owners—and your articles will rank higher on search engines. Keywords are also very important when it comes to SEO and can help your articles rank higher with ease once you start including them effectively in headlines and content.

Start off by doing keyword research to figure out what words and phrases people use when searching for information about your industry or niche. Then, brainstorm relevant keywords that fit naturally into titles and body text. This might sound complicated at first but don't worry; we'll get you started below!

Once you've written an excellent title, create short paragraphs that introduce each new idea or topic clearly before moving onto another subject. Make sure every paragraph contains at least three sentences and make sure they flow smoothly from one sentence to another without any abrupt changes in direction or tone.

When writing individual sentences keep sentences as short as possible while still being grammatically correct; think of every sentence as its own tweet—they should all be interesting enough that people want to read more!

Step 3) Categorize Your Keywords

Your keywords are your most important tool in making sure that search engines know what your content is about. When you write a new post, try to focus on one or two keywords and include them naturally throughout your text.

Make sure that each page of your site uses its own set of keywords; a page about dog training probably doesn't need to use any of your cat training keywords. If it's possible, group related articles together so readers can get all their information about similar topics from one place.

This will make it easier for users to find everything they're looking for without having to click through several pages. For example, if you have an extensive archive of posts about pet nutrition, create a separate category specifically for pet nutrition-related posts.

Step 4) Link to Other Pages Within Your Site

Search engines look at both internal and external links when calculating search rankings. Internal links point readers from one page on your site to another, while external links bring visitors from other sites directly to your content.

A good rule of thumb is that you should have no fewer than three and no more than five links within every 100 words of text. This will help balance out link equity and make sure you don't dilute its effectiveness through overuse.

For example, if you're writing a 1,000-word post about ice cream flavors for a food website, it would be appropriate to include five links: two internal (one pointing back to an earlier section of your post and another linking to a related recipe) and three external (to recipes for two different flavors).

The key here is that each link should be relevant—that means they shouldn't just be filler or attempts at keyword stuffing. They also shouldn't lead users away from your site; instead they should direct them toward something else on your website or elsewhere online. That's why it's important not only to use keywords naturally but also strategically in order to drive traffic back toward your site.

Step 5) Keep it Short and Sweet

The typical visitor spends less than a minute on any given page of your website, so there's little time for them to read what you've written. Keeping your content short and sweet is especially important if you want users to engage with it—you don't want anyone feeling bored or overwhelmed while they're reading through your material.

Try breaking up long articles into multiple pages; visitors will be much more likely to continue reading if they can see that what you have has been broken down into digestible chunks. You should also consider using subheadings within your posts.

Not only do these make it easier for readers to scan information quickly, but they also allow search engines to easily determine what your content is about—which makes it easier for them to return relevant results when someone searches for related terms.

Finally, remember that Google doesn't like spammy websites (which are typically full of keyword-stuffed garbage), so try writing naturally and avoiding obvious keyword stuffing. Be sure to include keywords throughout your posts naturally as part of well-written sentences.

Step 6) Use Subheadings Frequently

Subheadings are a great way to break up content for readers, but they also serve as metadata for search engines. Using subheadings like What is SEO? and Common SEO Mistakes will make it easier for search engines like Google and Bing to identify topics of your articles. Make sure you only use a subheading once per page, though! Otherwise, it could look spammy.

Step 7) Keep it Simple, Stupid

If you want your page to rank well on search engines, it’s important that your content is easily digestible. Users will look for articles that can be easily understood and answered their questions as quickly as possible. Make sure you keep your sentences short and sweet (under 15 words per sentence), use simple vocabulary, avoid industry jargon, and make sure everything flows logically from start to finish.

The easier it is for users to consume your content, whether through traditional or social media channels, or through direct access to the site itself, then more likely users are going to stick around—and that’s what search engines want. Longer pieces of writing may be better suited towards blogs than websites specifically created for SEO purposes.

Keep it under 1,000 words at most if you plan on publishing your piece elsewhere first. It might not get as much traffic directly from a search engine result, but people will share a shorter piece more often, increasing exposure to new audiences who don’t necessarily have time to read long-form content.

Also remember that each paragraph should have one main idea and stay focused on that idea throughout each section. It should also have supporting details used only when necessary for clarity or understanding; otherwise, remove them so you aren't weighing down your copy with excessive filler text just because there's space available in a given line of text. Writing an SEO friendly piece takes practice—so get out there and write!

Step 8) Not all Title Tags are Created Equal

The headline is what potential readers will first see. It should be short and snappy, but must also include keywords that searchers are likely to search for. This is a great opportunity to be clever while still being relevant. Remember, you want to make sure your content ranks highly on Google’s search engine results page (SERP).

Here’s a quick rundown of some important title tag rules: Keep it under 70 characters: Google recommends keeping your title tags under 65 characters—but that doesn’t mean you should go beyond 70 or so, especially if it starts getting really hard for users to read. You can get away with more than 65 characters when you’re including a number (e.g.,

The 5 Biggest Mistakes New Entrepreneurs Make), but don't use more than 80 total characters. In general, though, keep it concise! Use hyphens to break up long words: Hyphens help break up long words and give them space without adding extra letters. If you have too many words in one string without any hyphens, they might run together on mobile devices or look strange when printed out. Stick with proper capitalization: You shouldn't capitalize every word in your title tag—just like you shouldn't do that with regular sentences!

Step 9) Check for Typos and Broken Links on Regular Basis.

Make sure you’re not making common mistakes like typing it’s when you mean its. Pay attention to punctuation and your use of capital letters, so that articles aren’t misconstrued as shouting when they aren't supposed to be. And make sure there are no broken links on your site—having dead-ends is a surefire way for users to abandon your website and move on. If you take just one thing away from these ten steps, it should be that if one tiny thing isn't working, it's all going down. So stay vigilant, and check for errors regularly!

Google pays close attention to spelling and grammar, because if potential customers can’t understand what you’re writing, they might not trust your business or see you as an authority on a subject. Don’t think bad grammar won’t be noticed: Google will catch everything from dropped prepositions to improperly placed commas. It may seem basic, but good spelling shows Google (and visitors) that you care about their experience with your brand.

Check for Typos and Broken Links on Regular Basis - Third Paragraph: Additionally, small details such as maintaining a consistent style throughout all of your pages can also improve how often people link back to them!

Step 10) Backlinks Matter. Period.

You know that Google rewards sites with lots of incoming links (backlinks) when it comes time to rank your site. You also probably know that they penalize sites with spammy backlinks. The good news is there are plenty of ways you can generate legitimate, high-quality backlinks. First, though, you need content people will want to link to and share.

The fastest way to do that is by creating something truly helpful for your audience—not just what's best for you as a business owner. For example, do you run a car repair shop? Why not create a how-to guide for common brake replacements? Or how about creating a list of auto maintenance tips and reminders?

These types of articles help people solve problems, which makes them more likely to share on social media. And if someone shares your post on their own website or social media page, it’s like getting a free backlink! If you really want to get technical about it, here are some great resources: Moz: How To Get Backlinks From Social Media Sites (10+ Ways!) Authority Hacker:

How to Get High Quality Backlinks for Your Website No matter where you find inspiration, remember that your content needs to be valuable. Think through every word so readers will actually benefit from reading it. This doesn't mean being overly salesy or promotional either; in fact, taking a less direct approach may work better in some cases. Just remember to make sure any information included is useful and relevant first and foremost.

In other words, don't force your product into everything you write; offer genuinely helpful advice instead. Another option? Do a lot of research first so you have interesting statistics at hand whenever possible - studies show that websites featuring data win 50% more clicks than those without any statistics!

The Best Games to Play With Your Guests on Christmas!

The Best Games to Play With Your Guests on Christmas!

Christmas can be an exciting time of year, full of anticipation and holiday cheer, but the gathering of family and friends can also be an exhausting and stressful experience. Luckily, there are plenty of games that you can play with your guests that will help make your Christmas celebration both fun and festive! Here are the best games to play with your guests on Christmas!

Snake

A classic. In Snake, players take turns adding pieces of increasing length to a growing snake-like shape. The first player whose snake bites its own tail loses. Snake is an easy game for kids—and good practice for junior programmers who are just learning how loops work. Plus, it’s fun to yell Snake! when you see one in real life.

Jenga

This is a great game because it involves strategy, physical skill, and luck. Even though there are rules, players can be creative with moves, which leads to laughing and cheering. A simple version of Jenga can be played with two people or a larger version can involve all your guests. To play Jenga with two people:

Each player takes turns pulling out one block at a time (being careful not to pull out an unstable stack). The first person whose tower falls loses! To play Jenga with more than two people: Two teams compete against each other, alternating turns until someone's tower falls. If you want to make things even more interesting, limit teams to one hand each! Also, some party supply stores sell mini versions of Jenga that work perfectly for large groups.

And if you don't have any blocks around, feel free to improvise—for example, chopsticks could substitute for wooden blocks in a pinch! For something new and exciting, try... Kerplunk!: In Kerplunk!, like in Jenga, everyone tries to remove their colored sticks without toppling their stack. However unlike Jenga where you only pull out one stick at a time, here every turn you get 3-5 sticks per turn depending on how many people are playing and how big they are making their stacks.

It’s pretty fun when you get five sticks at once and then start getting worried about knocking down your stack. You never know what’s going to happen next! Another cool thing about Kerplunk! is that as soon as someone knocks over their stack, everyone else gets to take another turn.

Charades

Everyone knows how to play charades; all you need is a willing audience and a good imagination. Charades is also one of those games that’s as easy to learn how to play as it is fun to play. So, what are you waiting for? Grab some drinks and your friends, turn off all your devices, and get ready for a game of charades. Here are some ideas:

Have each person in your group give one word clues until someone guesses it correctly. Or, have each person choose an actor and then act out that actor’s movies/roles until someone guesses correctly (or fails miserably). Choose a type of animal/object or holiday movie/theme etc. and act it out. If you want to make things more interesting, make sure everyone acts together in a large group so no one can see who is acting at any given time.

This will encourage more creativity and teamwork! The only rule here is that you can’t use props—it has to be entirely body movement (and sound effects if needed). You could even do charades with just two people by having one person act out something while another person tries to guess it. As long as you keep it simple, there are endless variations of charades! Try these three versions and let us know which ones were your favorites

Assorted board games

Of course, there’s always classics like Monopoly and Clue, but those games can feel a little stale after a while. So if you want something different, try one of these instead: Cards Against Humanity , Settlers of Catan , Apples to Apples , Scrabble , Phase 10 , Chess, or Poker.

You might also consider using a game like Trivial Pursuit to get your guests in on an intellectual competition they might not have expected. Keep in mind that when you play with people who don’t know each other as well as you do, it helps to pick games that involve talking—that way everyone will get more comfortable with each other and form better bonds over time.

If you have any musical instruments around, bring them out so people can sing along. And lastly, remember that party games are only fun if everyone is participating—if someone isn’t interested in playing at all, encourage them to just hang out and enjoy some food or conversation. It’s much easier for someone to be left out of a board game than it is for them to sit at a table by themselves for too long.

Cards

A deck of cards is easy and always available, making it an awesome choice for a party. Start with a simple card game like five-card draw poker or blackjack, then mix things up by asking guests to invent new rules while they play. There are tons of variations out there too, so if you're getting bored (which shouldn't happen), change things up.

Some other fun games include Go Fish and old maid; try your hand at gin rummy as well. If you want something more interactive, why not have everyone put together their own team? For example, one person could be in charge of dealing hands and another could be in charge of keeping score.

This works best when played against each other rather than all playing together. You can also create some friendly competition by having everyone bring their own team—just make sure you get some friends who aren't competitive cheaters! If no one has a pack of cards on them, use any flat surface that people can gather around—like a table top or even just the floor.

Trivia questions (Write them down in advance!)

A simple game of Trivia will always bring fun and excitement to a party. Invite each guest to write down two answers before they arrive, making sure they’re both plausible answers that only they know. Once everyone has arrived, simply hand out slips of paper with your questions and watch as people struggle over who gets picked last!

That person chooses which question goes first and then everybody writes their answer down. Whoever gets it right wins a prize. It’s very similar to Truth or Dare except nobody has to do anything embarrassing—they just have fun while learning new information about one another.

Coin flip

If you’re looking for something quick and easy, give a simple coin flip a try. One person calls heads or tails while another flips a coin into the air. The flipper calls whether they think it will land on heads or tails while the caller guesses which side it will land on. If their guess is correct, they get to make another call.

After three rounds, whoever has two correct guesses wins (and hopefully will be willing to share some of their winnings with you). No matter what, though, you'll have fun trying out your skills at predicting if someone else's toss is going to land right-side up or upside down. There are tons of other games you can play with just a coin too—find out more here.

Have a Secret Santa gift exchange

The term Secret Santa is used a lot around Christmastime, and it refers to a fun party game where everyone is given another guest or two as their partner. The partners give each other gifts, usually of similar value but wrapped differently so they don’t know who gave them what (it gets more complicated than that—like having a specific price range for gifts—but that’s not necessary).

Everyone gives back their gift, along with an anonymous note thanking them for it. The best part is reading other people’s notes about why they chose their present, or how much fun they had unwrapping it. It really makes you feel connected to your friends, even if you don’t see them all year long.

How to Create a YouTube channel

So You Want to Start a YouTube Channel? Here's How!

Do you want to be the next PewDiePie? Do you have a passion that you want to share with the world? Are you looking to make some money on the side? There are plenty of reasons to start your own YouTube channel, and even more ways to benefit from having one. But what’s it really like to make your own YouTube channel, and how do you get started? This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about how to start a YouTube channel and develop it into something your audience enjoys, engages with, and wants more of.

Create Your Own Unique Style

Crafting your own style is one of the best ways to make sure that your channel isn’t overlooked. It’s good practice to be inspired by others, but don’t feel like you have to follow what everyone else is doing. Set yourself apart and find something that truly represents who you are and what you have to offer. If you’re looking for inspiration, try watching videos that cover similar topics or run on similar channels as yours.

Look at how they structure their content, transitions, length of video and things like that. What do they do well? What could be improved upon? Use these examples as a jumping off point for creating your own unique style. Also remember to watch out for copyrighted material; if you plan on posting popular music in your videos, check with a copyright lawyer first. Your music should be 100% original. Keep it legal!

Define Your Audience

One of the key components to making your channel grow is by figuring out exactly who you want to target with your videos. Are you trying to appeal towards a certain demographic, like women between 18 and 24 years old or are you aiming for a more general audience that’s not limited by age, gender, or other factors?

Once you have an idea in mind, it’s time to research how big that market is and how much demand there is for your content. This will help inform what kinds of videos you should create—do viewers tend towards humor or do they prefer something more educational? Do they want videos about politics or DIY tips? Make sure you know who your audience is before diving into production.

(For more on defining your audience, check out 5 Ways to Grow Your Audience Through Social Media.) Decide What Kind of Videos to Create: Now that you’ve figured out who your audience is, think about what kind of videos they might be interested in watching. Maybe your subscribers would enjoy behind-the-scenes looks at different aspects of filmmaking or seeing how-to guides for various tasks related to their day-to-day lives. These types of videos give them a chance to feel as though they are learning from you while also connecting with their fellow subscribers through shared interests.

Create an Outline

The easiest way to ensure you've got all your bases covered is by making an outline. Outlines will help you think through your content and ensure that you give your viewers/subscribers value. What information do they need from you? How many videos should there be in each series?

What is it about your channel that sets it apart from others out there already? Make sure to answer these questions before starting on filming day! It'll make for a smoother, more organized experience for everyone involved. (And who doesn't want that?) But don't worry if you're not a fan of outlines—they're just one of many ways to plan ahead. If writing isn't your thing, try using mind maps or even sketching things out to get started. There are no rules here; whatever works best for you is what you should use!

There are lots of different types of equipment available to film with, but today we’re going to focus on lighting equipment because it’s something that can have a huge impact on how professional your video looks. Lighting is one of those things you really don't want to skimp out on—it makes all the difference in creating a high-quality image for your viewers. If you're just starting out and you don't have any lights yet, don't worry! Today I'm going to be talking about three affordable options for lights that will help you take your videos from amateur to pro in no time at all.

Record When You Have Time

If you’re just starting out, record videos when you have time. If you don’t have kids or other responsibilities, try recording on weekends or when you have down time. This will give your audience something fresh to watch, and also reduce overwhelm since there won’t be many videos at first.

Once you build momentum (and gain a following), shift into recording multiple times each week so that you always have new content on your channel—even if it doesn’t get used right away. Starting slow is key here. Don’t expect thousands of views in one day. It takes time for viewers to find you and subscribe. In fact, it can take months or even years before your channel gets off the ground. So start slowly and keep building up your viewership over time.

Edit Your Videos Before Sharing Them

It’s not easy, but if you really want to create a successful YouTube channel, you should edit your videos before you post them. In other words, don’t publish raw footage of yourself speaking in front of your computer.

Instead, take some time to trim and organize your video into something watchable. Even if people only watch it for one second—and then click away—your video will at least be professional looking. Make Sure Your Videos Have a Purpose: One of my favorite parts about being on YouTube is that there are no rules when it comes to content.

That said, it’s important that you have a reason for making videos in addition to just sharing information with your audience. Whether that means creating entertaining content or posting helpful tips, make sure there is an overarching purpose behind every video you upload (or risk losing viewers).

Don’t Give Up: Building a following takes time. If you’re new to YouTube, it might feel like nobody is watching your videos or even paying attention to what you have to say. Don’t give up! The best way to get more views and subscribers is by simply producing more quality content. Posting regularly helps too, so try setting aside 30 minutes each day for video production. Stay Consistent: Consistency counts when it comes to building an audience on YouTube.

The easiest way to do that? Schedule all of your future posts ahead of time so they go live automatically without any effort from you whatsoever. A good rule of thumb is two new videos per week (one short and one long), plus any relevant updates as necessary throughout the month.

Post Regularly and Consistently

Consistency is key when it comes to building your audience on YouTube. If you do things sporadically, with long gaps in between posts, your audience will simply forget about you. On top of that, if you're inconsistent with your content, you won't be able to build trust and authority with your viewers. People subscribe for regular updates because they know that content is going to come out on schedule. Channels that don't post often enough are often perceived as not being committed to what they're doing or coming across as not being reliable. Set a schedule and stick with it—it'll be worth it in the end.

Your audience will feel appreciated by getting regular updates from you and seeing that you're serious about providing them with value. That, in turn, makes them more likely to stick around and watch your videos (and even buy stuff from you). Your content can vary greatly depending on what type of channel you have but make sure it always meets these two criteria: It should be engaging/entertaining (because people want to keep watching) It should provide value (because people want more) The most important thing is to just start posting regularly - once a week at first - then try bumping up to twice a week later on. Whatever feels right for you!

Get Subscribers & Engagement

Once you’ve created your channel, you’ll need to build an audience and get subscribers. One of best ways is by making videos on popular topics that interest people in your niche. However, unlike other video platforms like Vimeo or Dailymotion, it can be tough to stand out with just one video. Our advice: make good content (like our free guides) that are helpful for people interested in learning about your niche.

If you see yourself as being valuable within your niche and provide useful advice, viewers will begin subscribing and sharing your videos with others. The more views and subscribers you have, the more exposure your channel gets from YouTube search results—and so on. And remember, if you do make money from YouTube at some point down the line, it’s best to have started from day one with monetization switched on for all your videos. That way when Google sees how much traffic you bring in through ad revenue share and decides whether or not they want to give you money based off those numbers...you’re golden!

Set Realistic Goals

Whether you're posting daily or just sharing a video every few weeks, it helps to know what you're aiming for. If your goal is too vague, though, it can be hard to stay motivated. So make sure your goals are both specific and realistic. For example, if you want to gain 20 subscribers by January 1st, 2019, set that as your first goal and then determine exactly how many subscribers you need per month (and week) over that period of time.

Be as honest with yourself as possible and don't set out only wanting fame—if your goal is strictly about views but not about community building or engagement from actual humans on your channel (which means more long-term success!), re-evaluate it. Once you've set your goals, figure out how much time you'll realistically have to dedicate each week toward achieving them. That way, when things get busy at work or home, you won't feel tempted to put off recording until next weekend because it doesn't matter. Remember: Small steps lead to big results!

Promote Yourself Outside of Youtube

Though you can always start your own channel from scratch, if you already have an audience in another platform, why not leverage it? Try getting some of your existing social media followers to follow you on YouTube by posting links in your Facebook page, or by adding them on Instagram. If they like what they see, chances are high that they’ll subscribe and stay loyal once you start producing content for them.

Aside from word-of-mouth promotion, you can also try paid options like TubeBuddy or TubeAssist to help drive new subscribers your way. They even offer free trials so you can get started right away. Another great option is offering exclusive discounts to current subscribers through platforms like Vindale. These options allow you to grow your subscriber base without having to build everything from scratch. Remember: slow and steady wins the race!
